The singer Rita Ora was photographed carrying supplies and water around the site in White City, west London. She worked hard all night to help the victims of the tragedy. The pop star visited the site less than 24 hours after the horrible fire, which caused the death of 12 people so far.
The former X-factor judge was born in Kosovo, but moved to London with her parents when she was a baby. Rita grew up around Earls Court, before later moving to Kensal Rise – very close to White City, where the fire took place. Always proud of her London roots, the star was there to show her sympathy and to offer help and support.
Rita shared a clip of herself on Snapchat, encouraging her followers to join her and help too.
“Please come and help if you can”, she captioned an image of herself driving to west London.
Rita Ora was not the only celebrity showing support to Grenfell Tower residents since Adele was seen there, also helping.
The fire swept through the 27-storey tower block in just 15 minutes after a fridge exploded and the accident is one of the worst in British history. Scotland Yard expects the death toll to rise and the actual number could be over 50.
